Join us for Excellence
Bab-ul-Ilm Research Foundation, abbreviated as BIRF, is a non-profit educational, research and interfaith harmony-building organization. BIRF is based in Pakistan with its offices in all major cities and headquarter at Mandi Bahauddin. BIRF was founded by the young Pakistani writer and emerging scholar of comparative religions SYED MUHAMMAD WAQAS in 2009. He chairs the organization under the designation of "Director General". The idea of founding Bab-ul-Ilm Research Foundation Network was conceived in 2008 when he was serving as "Lecturer of Indian Studies" in Kosovo. Director General's American senior colleague, Prof. Donald Stanley Tingle, Principal of the College, was the person to move him into this direction and help chalk out the project in the light of all his previous experience.
A wing of Bab-ul-Ilm Research Foundation, designated as "Bab-ul-Ilm Humanity Service", is responsible for conducting humanitarian and public welfare projects with no regard to color and creed. Moreover, BIRF has also launched a program for rescue and relief in disasters, primarily in Pakistan, with the help of its US-based brotherly humanitarian organization "International Disaster Emergency Service" (IDES). In the field of education, BIRF has embarked upon a number of different quality and free education projects. A plan for a charity school for the poor and needy is on papers, and all that is required for this project is going to be afforded to BIRF by its US-based motherly organization, "ComeNserv International" (CNS). They provide BIRF with every kind of assistance it requires in all of its educational projects.
The organizational structure of Bab-ul-Ilm Research Foundation consists of “Executive Body” and “General Assembly of Members”. 9-member Executive Body is elected for a 2-year period and “Director General” heads it. Director General is assisted by General Secretary, who is responsible for the scheduling of meetings, projects and visits. The General Assembly of Members is open for every one, as it does not have a restriction of election or selection. The minimum age for registration at BIRF is 16 and one is a full member for life when once registered according to the procedure. However, the Executive Body reserves the right to expel any member from BIRF in case of violating the “Code of Conduct” as described in BIRF Constitution. BIRF welcomes people from every walk of life, color, creed, and culture at its platform for a better and more prosperous future of Mankind.
